Hi all! I was accepted into both The George Washington University in DC and Northeastern University in Boston. I am having such a confusing and tough time deciding between the two. Money is no issue and either is the graduation time. I will be majoring in Business Management with a Pre-Med Track along the way. I eventually want to go to medical school. I really love both campuses even though they are different. I like the feeling of both schools and they both have their pros and cons. NEU has terrible dorms whereas GW has a terrible food program. Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated for where I will be spending the next four years of my life. Thanks in advance!

Have you visited both schools after being admitted?

I have visited both schools the past weekend as an accepted students. I love both of them and know I can’t go wrong. However, I have no idea which one to go to.

+1 for DC climate.

Northeastern’s business program is much stronger. However, I don’t understand why you want to learn accounting if you want to go to medical school - it doesn’t make sense.

Pre-med? I’m guessing that more students at GW choose that track than at Northeastern.

ctyankee- Your comment that Northeastern has a much stronger business program is based on what? It depends on the specialty within the business schools. tader 2112, if it’s rankings/ratings that you’re in to see this link:

Yes, if you’re interested in how students who haven’t entered the ‘real world’ self-rank the teachings within specific majors, this is the poll for you. Personally, I’d only be interested in what students think about the food at their college because that’s one of the few things they are qualified to judge (and even then most don’t have knowledge of another school to which to base it on.

If you want to know about b-school programs, talk to grads of both schools and compare each school’s grads average starting salaries out-of-school. The $$$ should be easy to get from Northeastern, my guess getting that out of some other schools might be pretty tough.
