I was looking at few maps of the campus and was wondering how difficult it was to get around. I mean is it spread out (can you walk to all your classes easily,or at all etc.)

It’s not very spread out. You can easily walk to classes. Especially from the frosh dorms…

One of the most compact campuses around. You’ll never be walking further than 10 minutes to get to class.

The campus is very compact – almost too much so I would argue, but it’s a matter of taste.

It has very nice “old” buildings…although there’s this one library that looks like a cube of concrete.

i loved the gtown campus… only problem is lots and lots of stairs

Exercise! Ha-ha. I actually love the “antique” feel about some of the buildings…the classrooms exude with that college aura, for some reason :)

AND, seeing the Washington Monument when you are on top of some of the dormitories: breath-taking for someone who doesn’t visit D.C. much or is an international makes you want to become an American citizen right away! Hah

Our family visited Georgetown last August. We really liked the campus and the surrounding area.

After Georgetown, we visited Penn, Princeton, Yale and Harvard. Princeton’s campus is without peer. It’s beautiful. Penn was very disappointing. Yale and Harvard were somewhat disappointing.

The daughter who will be going to college liked the Georgetown campus the best. The rest of us liked Princeton best with Georgetown a close second.

You should’ve visited University of Chicago! (although it’s not in that area…)

@TheRoad - I grew up in Chicago. We’ve been to the U of C campus many times.

With regards to Georgetown, the look and feel of Healy Hall are impressive, and the view of the Potomac, the Kennedy Center, the Washington Monument, etc. from the Village A apartment dorms is unmatched
