does anyone know if waitlist is given out to a lot of students? and if ur likely to get off the waitlist? (i ask this because i got likely waitlist as early read)

What is an early read? Do I ask for that? Also it seems true that MSB comes last, no one has heard anything yet.

By requesting an early read, you’re basically asking the school to release your admission decision early. College admissions office usually provide a “leaning,” which is pretty much the same as an unofficial decision. However, you cannot request one unless you are able to provide proof of offered-admission at another university.

guys! Last afternoon, chair of Georgetown’s transfer admission committee emailed me to ask detailed info about my gapping the Fall 2020 semester (I am an international student and at that time I wanted to wait for supposedly available in-person class in the future then), and said that they look forward to reviewing my mid-term and final grades for this (the Spring 2021) semester. Is that a good sign? Jesus that makes me nervous.

I think as long as your grades are similar to the rest of your transcripts, you’re probably a likely admit! Good luck!

also are we supposed to submit like a mid-term report or our final grades for this (spring 2021) semester? because i didn’t know that
My grades are all A, but only for one semester… hope they don’t bother with that. Anyway, good luck to both of us!

I am applying to Georgetown College political science major, and I did not submit those materials either. It’s them asking me to do so, probably because I gapped the Fall 2020 semester and if I do not report my grades this semeter, my performance in GPA section will almost be a blank. I guess that’s the point😂 Ah, just hope them not bringing me to a sky high point before dragging me to absolute zero…

I have taken around 12 courses and all As… I wonder if this even helps at all. My GPA was 4.0 at my CC, but it is 3.85 at my current institution because they do A minuses. Still haven’t heard anything and it seems like a lot of people already posted about their acceptances here. With only 50 let in, I am starting to worry I did not make it. I was hoping my time in the Navy would illuminate that I can work hard and follow an objective. But it seems like they are trying to recruit people who are leaders in school clubs, presidents and whatnot.
