Georgetown v. Michignan's Ross

I was accepted early action in to MSB and also preferred admit to university of michigan's ross school. However i am in love with both schools so i wanted some input on the pros/cons of both business school and what not. I know Ross is ranked really highly, but will my job prospects actually increase if i go there? My only problem with michigan is that it is too big, however I don't really like that georgetown is catholic either. HELP PLEASE

Groegetown. Some many chances in DC

You have what I would describe as a very high quality problem in choosing between these two schools. Both are excellent schools, but I think your hesitancies with each environment may be a bit off the mark.

While I didn't attend Ross, I suspect that it is similar to other dedicated business schools within larger universities (like McIntire at UVA) in that there is a community of students that you regularly interact with and this smaller group becomes an advantage. You have the benefit of working in a small size college within a major university while having all the benefits of attending a major university. This is a big difference when compared to a school like Georgetown and it has great appeal to some students.

For MSB, while probably not as high profile as Ross, IMO, you would not be hurting your job prospects by attending Georgetown. You still get exposure to great teachers, great students and you have Washington as your playground. And that is some playground as DC is a ton of fun and has so much going on. As for your religious concern, while the Catholic core of Georgetown is undeniable, it is not overwhelming and many of its students are not Catholic and certainly not evangelical.

Sounds like you have a great four years ahead of you. Good luck.
