My daughter was accepted to GU, WUSTL and SMU honors. Now we need to decide. Thoughts?

Will she be likely to live in Dallas after graduation?

are costs a factor?

Is she a Tx local and does she want to work/live in Tx?

Georgetown and Wash U have an overwhelming academic edge on SMU. I lived near SMU for many years, and unless the money is compelling, the other two are better choices.

Two nationally respected top of the heap schools vs a school that is only meaningful in Dallas?? I agree with MOWC. There’s just no comparison, unless there is a money reason to go to SMU.

I’m a Gtown grad from '88. I can tell you that the amount of work they’ve done on making their Biz School relevant in the past decade is impressive. I have attended a number of alumni functions targeting the business community in the last few years and they are definitely making a strong push here in the New York area to ensure that their graduates have a viable alumni network to tap into during their years at school as well as after they graduate. I wish it had been around when I came out 25+ years ago
