I'm a current MPH epidemiology student at Georgia Southern currently interning with the CDC and I want to pursure my PhD in epi next fall. I'm looking at Emory and UF, but would be open to other suggestions of good schools.

In my favor is my current 4.0 in my master's program, a year of clinical work experience, an internship with the CDC, and pending research in epidemiology.

Not in my favor are my undergrad GPA (2.75) and my GRE score (1100). I have very strong references, but these programs are very competitive, and I'm afraid that they'll take one look at my undergrad GPA and think I can't handle it. I got serious my second two years of undergrad, but took too many upper level courses to catch up for playing around my first two years, and just couldn't get it to a 3.0.

Does anyone think I'll stand a change since I should be graduating with my MPH close to or at a 4.0?
