@rkumar3550 - Not sure if Tech lets you update your app like some other schools, but if you can, I’d recommend sending a strong letter of continued interest. I’m an OOS Asian too, and I think the reason why I got in (and others with similar or higher stats didn’t) was because of my essays. Tell them why, specifically, you think Tech would be the best place to go for what you’d like to do–don’t write any “filler” sentences, like “I’m drawn to Tech because it’s one of the strongest STEM schools in the nation.” Mention specific programs and why those interest YOU, why you appreciate the culture of the school, etc.

This might have been mentioned previously, but does anyone know when merit scholarship information comes out? Do I have to fill out additional forms or essays or anything or is my application automatically considered?

Does anybody know whether deferred from GT actually means anything. I know that some school just differ a ton of people. If deferred, does GT actually think you application has some value?
