I have the following
SAT Score Reading 670,math 760, Wring 750
ACT Score Math 36, English 33, Reading 33, Science 31, combined english/wring 29 composite score 33
SAT Subject Test Math 800, Physics, chemistry,Biology above 700
GPA 3.9, weighted 5.5
Rank 2

There aren’t many scholarships available from Gatech. The main one is the Presidential Scholarship, which is extremely competitive. People who get it usually have higher stats than you

What kind of weighting system gives you a 3.9 UW…and a FIVE POINT FIVE weighted. At that point, you’re literally saying that grades are meaningless, we just want everyone to look smart by giving them GPA’s that don’t even correspond to what GPA’s are intended to signify.

Like others have said, the GT doesn’t give out much besides the Presidential Scholarship. You are only considered for that if you got your application in before October 15. (If you got it in a few days after, they will occasionally pull strong applicants out for consideration).

Your stats would be a little on the low end for a PS, but not impossible. Lots of kids with nearly perfect stats won’t make it in. They select students based on leadership (shown through ecs) and essays. If you make the initial cut, you’ll have an interview that heavily plays into whether or not you’ll get into the program.

There seems to be some unnecessary bitterness on this thread for a simple question.
