I know this is one of the worst times to be looking for work in the hedge fund industry, but I am hoping to get my foot in the door. Does anyone have any SPECIFIC tips for getting a hedge fund job? I don't need a review of my qualifications, but rather some concrete tips that you used to get an interview or maybe some questions you were asked in your interview? Any tips on writing a cover letter to hedge funds?

The friends I have talked to who have interviewed with hedge funds say that the interview process is a lot like interviews with consulting firms. In addition to testing your financial knowledge they will likely test your logic abilities as well. "why are manhole covers round?" or "if you had a stack of pennies as high as the Empire State building could you stack them in a closet?" etc.

There is also a good article specifically on getting hedge funds jobs.
