I heard from a CC user that getting a job in US for an international student is very hard due to migration issues and what not. If I get into a US university next year, no way in hell will I want to come back to India. So, can anyone tell me if it's true that getting a job in the US is quite hard and if it so then what are the ways to end up with a job in the US?

Thanks in advance!!!

There really is no way to answer a question that vague, sadly. More information, please ~

Getting a job in US requires an H1 B Visa which in turn is sponsored by Companies.

Then there is a cap on that number which is about 65k right now.

Additional 20k for STEM majors only.

So in order to get a visa first you need to get a job offer from a company that historically has a record of sponsoring H1 B visas. Second, you manage to be part of that 65k statistics, which like the college admissions, is again a lottery. So in both cases you do your best and then hope for the best.

In my opinion you should keep your options open. If you get a job+visa, well and good. If you need to come back, you are armed with a great degree so there will no dearth of great offers at home.

its a pretty simple process actually…
you get a letter from the company, give it to your university and they take care of the rest…
takes roughly a week or 2
