I’m a 4th year pre-law student, and I am considering dropping a non-impacted class. It is about to be week 9 so I’ll need a late-drop form, which should be easy to approve as this is the first time I’ve ever dropped a class at UCLA (you get 3 late-drops for your lifetime).
My worries tho are whether it will count against my law school gpa or not. It’s just confusing because UCLA does not ever hand out Ws, it just says “dropped- week X” on your transcript. So for instance, since I’ll be dropping on week 9 it’ll say “dropped-week 9” instead of a W. It doesn’t count towards my UC gpa, but i’ve read some horror stories about people in other schools having dropped classes be counted against them even tho it didn’t affect their school GPA so I’m just worried.
