I was looking at my college’s website a while ago, and I came across a page for my major (B.S. in computer science). It mentioned that graduates should be well-prepared for grad school, computer science jobs and any job that require a liberal arts degree. By doing this major, I’ll only be taking one non-STEM course per semester.
What exactly is a “liberal arts” job? I thought most jobs that require a college degree would want a specific kind of degree, not just a degree in general. Would I actually be qualified for a liberal arts job, or are they more for philosophy/English/sociology majors? I’m definitely planning on going into the computer science field, but I’d still like to know what I could/couldn’t do with my degree.
