getting a really good grade on the ACT just by studying for a couple of days

Hey guys, so basically I had to choose to take the ACT exam in February because all other dates don’t work for me, but turns out December and January have been a crazy months for me and i didn’t even get a chance to review, how would you guys recommend I prep myself for the ACT in only a couple of days, I need to get a 32, which yes I know I sound mad cause theres no way I can get that just by prepping in two or three days. Plz help

With limited time, I’d take as many strictly timed practice tests as possible. As you take each, note all questions you had problems with/guessed. Score the test immediately after you finish. See why you got wrong answers (misunderstood question, silly mistake, did not know substance, ran out of time). On the ones you had problems with/guessed, understand how the right answer was derived, whether you got it right or not. If you are running out of time, practice discipline in skipping questions you don’t immediately get to come back to at the end, even if to just randomly guess.

thx for the advice

My D20 was scheduled to take the ACT in February but decided she wasn’t prepared to take it again (previous best score was a 32) so she is going to wait until July & September. This gives her a chance to prepare properly and study for the this spring’s AP exams and subject tests.

What’s the rush to take by February?

the latest I can take it is in March due to my application and in March im overseas so february is my only choice

Have you taken it before? Are you a senior?

This test is a matter of familiarity with format as much as familiarity with content + accuracy/speed.
Basically stay home from school and after reviewing a basic prep book like Act for bad test takers, take a practice tests and review what you missed- review each notion you missed, do 10 exercises on it. Do this every day all day for everything. The night before the exam, go to bed early and sleep.

Ive never taken it before, but thanks for the advice
