Getting a rec from a freshman teacher

I'm getting one of my recs for my freshman Honors English teacher who knows me extremely well. I had her for newspaper (non-academic) sophomore year, and currently see her everyday. I haven't had her for English for grades 11 or 12, but she's read some of my essays in these grades.

Is this bad? She'd write an amazing letter, but she's not a grade 10, 11 or 12 teacher.

I'm applying to Ivies and top schools for reference.

An additional question: Stanford explicitly says they want only grade 11, 12 teachers and grade 10 teachers in rare situations. Would they toss out my application if I sent this rec in?

You should follow Stanford’s directions.

For other schools, I’d recommend getting another rec if you have someone else who could.

Even if it would be less amazing? I suppose I could ask my senior AP Lit teacher, but she doesn’t know me that well yet…
