<p>D2 was accepted to UMinn-TC and Carleton last year. Carleton gave a nice FA package including a small NHRP scholarship. UMinn was great with merit aid which combined with their relatively low OOS tuition, made it the second least expensive school to attend. And treated her like a queen when we visited: met with the head of the Honors college, dinner at a dorm and personal tours by an adcom and a student. Unfortunately we visited over spring break during a snowstorm, so it wasn’t the most inviting weather-wise :(. </p>
<p>She did have higher stats and was NMSF which was the reason for the merit at UMinn. She is interested in science, but I don’t know how much that helped.</p>
