So yep, getting into law school has been one of my life-long dreams, and I was wondering, do law schools look at stuff other than GPA/LSAT?

Is it necessary to attend an Ivy-level institution to attend, say Harvard/Stanford/Yale? Or is an undergrad education, at say, NYU (which is still great), good enough?

Haha, short and sweet, just the way I like it. Thanks! :)

I assume the level of the instution does have at least a partial influence? (Perhaps at the Top 5?)

If your GPA isn't very good but your LSAT is strong, schools will generally give you a little more leeway if you come from a top undergraduate school. Yale has faculty making the decision and does not give them formal instructions, so it's entirely possible that you'll get a faculty member who likes Ivy-undergrads -- or hates them.

I see. Alright, thanks so much! :)

At least my hopes have relighted.
