Getting worried

I applied EDII and sent my app in a while ago, but I still havent gotten any confirmation in the mail. I called admissions last week and they said that I should be receiving something soon and that they had received my application. They mentioned that they were missing my transcript though, and I'm pretty sure everything was sent. I'm worried, has anyone who appplied EDII gotten a confirmation yet? Might they send an email? I'd feel bad if I had to call them all next week to make sure they get my transcript. I don't want to come off as a nuisance. It'd be easier if I could check my status online, but I won't get a username and password until I get a confirmation letter. Anyone else in a similar situation? Maybe I'm just paranoid.

I haven't gotten anything, but I didn't submit my app till about a week before the deadline. If they said they didn't get your transcript, just send it again (unless there are explicit instructions somewhere that says not to resend materials until you are informed by a confirmation letter that they are missing), can't hurt!

Let us know when you get your confirmation letter so those of us who haven't gotten it can start worrying some more ;)

Decisions come out in a week! Call on Monday and try to find out what is going on. You seem like a nice kid - just be good about the whole thing. Explain that you're just concerned, want to make sure they have everything, and, if they don't, that you'll happily FedEx anything missing (even if it ends up being a duplicate).

Edit: forgot to mention, but have a list of things that you sent in and how they got sent in (electronically, in a packet with common app, supplement, on own by teachers, etc) and just list off. It's easier if you can say, "Two teachers and a coach sent in recommendations, all separately. I sent in my essay with the common app, but the supplement was sent in late November. My GC sent in my transcript and counselor recommendation separately in mid-December. My SAT scores were sent out in November, and I haven't taken any tests since then." Make it easy for them, and I guarantee that they will help you.

okay, I called admissions and they said the reason I haven't gotten confirmation yet is because they havent received my transcript. This isn't good. It takes the guidance department a while to get transcripts, and there may be another snow day tomorrow. I don't understand, my other colleges recieved my transcript, and I'm pretty sure guidance sent it in too. I'm not sure what to do, I would call my school but no one's there now (snow day). This probably wont work, but I have all my report cards saved since freshman year, do you think if I faxed them they'll accepts those instead if I can't get my transcript there? Could they make a decision without my transcript? Really stressed out. Help please! :(

p.s. I just found a copy of my transcript! But it only goes up to junior year. Could that count?

I got a hold of someone in my guidance department and they said my transcript was sent Dec. 20. What happened? I know it was sent in the same envelope as the rest of my application. How could they get everything and not my transcript? Maybe it got stuck to some other papers? I don't know, I told them it was sent and they said to have my school FedEx it tomorrow, but what if school gets cancelled again? I don't know if I can get it to them in time... Should I suggest they look through my application again to see if they missed it? Would that seem arrogant?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm so worried. This is the worst feeling.

ive had that happen with another school (they also lost my transcript)... my guidance counselor faxed it over the next day.

tufts lost a bunch of my stuff also, so i re-sent everything priority mail. i dont think asking them to look again would do much, they're really really busy and my guess is it was tossed in the trash by accident... :(

i'm sorry this is happening, i know i would be freaking out. just try n stay calm, and get it faxed over to tufts as soon as possible...

good luck

i haven't gotten anything either (applying for RD though)! I sent my app around December 19th... i want to call and check, but I'm worried they'll get annoyed..

send them an e-mail, and they will respond you the next they

yay! I finally got it all worked out. I had it faxed yesterday. Thanks for helping me out and keeping me calm :)

... but now I'll be panicking again until Tuesday

That's ok - you're not the only one panicking... Keep us posted!

Wait them not getting your transcript doesnt mean anything. I got my confirmation last thursday and today when i checked they havnt received my counselors recommendation or the transcript!!!!! bah!!!!!

I applied RD and still haven't gotten any letter either :(

apparently tufts is notorious for losing transcripts; they lost mine too. they called my counselor and we faxed the missing parts of my app (my techer and couselor rec also hadn't been processed). i got a confirmation letter today but i know it takes them a while to sort and process mail. don't feel bad about calling them, i kept calling until they assured me it was all sorted out.

it sucks not knowing if your everything is set. on top of worrying about the admissions decision we worry about all the little things too. it'll work out, just be patient. don't stress!

Tufts lost my credit card authorization form. A little annoying to think that there might be someone out there with my dad's credit card number... I'm still waiting for a reply on what to do. They said it wouldn't affect my decision though.

From what I'm reading here, I'm guessing they lose things often. Understandable - they get thousands of apps a year.

They didn't send me a confirmation letter either - I had to email them twice and fax them for my TAMS account. I did get an account eventually.

To anyone who's still freaking out about missing stuff: just email them (they reply quickly). Take the intiative and just contact them if you're seriously unsure about stuff. But be polite about it. :)

Bleh, I still don't have a TAMS account. I want one.
