Gettysburg College/Field Hockey

I'm very worried. My daughter just completed her junior year and her transcript is rife with C's. Here weighted GPA is a 3.4, so I am sure that the un-weighted would probably be somewhere between a 2.5 and 2.8. She and her mother both seem to be operating under the assumption that because she has taken a significant number of AP and honors classes the fact that she has so many C's is not as bad as it seems. I, however, think they are both delusional.
My daughter is very interested in attending Gettysburg and playing field hockey there. I believe she is a recruit. Does anyone out there have any info that would be helpful to consider about her chances? I'm hoping that miraculously she might get a 4.0 in the fall. But that is hope against hope...

I looked at the common data set and there was very little info about GPA. It is a test optional school. I am not sure how much input the coach has with admissions. However, if the coach is interested you could ask her to have a pre read done. It sounds like this is her top school so I would think about ED. Also, I think it depends on school rank and what type of school. Some schools dont rank so that could work in her favor if she is in the botton half. I think the coach should be able to guide her some.

I have a very good friend who has an older daughter who is an '11 Gettysburg Grad. She played rudgy and rode for the equestrian team…she loved the school
