Happy to report that Gibson is no longer blank for my daughter’s account. It is back to showing the Congrats message :)

Mine is back to saying it is complete and they are working on a decision. I hope I hear one soon!

I started the application on the tulane page, thought universal app was easier and finished the app on universal and sent my scores and everything. The tulane app over powered the universal one on gibson and says im missing everything including my scores. I emailed them and they said they fixed it. The page went blank for a few days and now it is back to saying i am missing everything. Am I good?

Ivy League - I think you would be wise to check with admissions again. If you just emailed within the last 4-5 days, wait a few more to see if it clears up. If not, go directly to your admissions person rather than the generic admissions email, if you did the latter the first time.

Do they actually work on applications during the weekend? I noticed someone got an acceptance yesterday but assumed they just didn’t check Friday. My DD status changed from incomplete without showing items to showing a list of items missing that had been sent in via email Wednesday. Thanks for any insight you can offer.

I was wondering the same thing, Oliver. I check gibson obsessively even on the weekends and I was always unsure if there’s any point to checking on the weekends.

My status took a little over a week to be marked as complete after my counselor sent in the documents, so it might just take a few more days, even if they were sent by email. You can email admissions or your admissions person and ask if they have them. That’s what I did but it turned out I just needed to wait a few more days for them to process my documents.

I posted this on another thread but here goes again. On 11/1 my DD was accepted . On 11/2 the screen was blank. On 11/3 it said her application was incomplete and today it says it is complete and they are reviewing her application. SO if she was not constantly checking Gibson she would have missed her acceptance, the system is whacked!

I know what you mean Mavitale! With everyone’s comments about the screen changes, I went on Gibson at one point to find a blank screen and found myself thinking- Did I imagine that Congratulations message - or was it really there? And if it was, was it supposed to be? Haha. But all is well here. We got our good old fashioned acceptance letter in the mail yesterday: Presidential Scholarship and $27,000. Feel so much more secure having that piece of paper!

I’m happy for yor good news and scholarsip $ kreativekat!

Woo hoo kreativekat!! Congratulations!!! I am so happy for everyone who has gotten good news (and $$$$!!). Well done!

My son applied a week ago using the Universal Application. He has not received an email about Gibson or anything else. How long should he wait for an email before calling? We tried entering his email and clicked on forgotten password but that didn’t work either. It said his email was not registered with the system. Thanks.

I would call right away and ask. I was under the impression that as soon as your application was complete and transmitted, you should get an e-mail. But perhaps I am incorrect on this, so just go ahead and call. If something went wrong with them getting the Universal app for him and there is no record that he applied at all, much better to find out now.

Kreative–WooHoo$$$$$!!! Three cheers for good old fashioned paper!

Thanks everyone! So fun to watch the big smile spread across your child’s face when they open that big envelope! Rooting for all who are still waiting!

We are actually headed to New Orleans this weekend for the Campus Preview Day! It’s awesome that he can now look at everything through the eyes of an accepted student! It just puts a little different perspective on things.

Yes, 'kat, it does because we went on Oct 20 for Preview Day, and they told us there were about 1500 spots for 35-40,000 applicants. Happy now that DD knows she is IN. She loves New Orleans and Audubon Park, etc

Chelsea, Fallenchemist is correct. My DD and I both received an email immediately after she completed her application. She sent in the Common App, not sure if that would make a difference. I can’t imagine it would be any different. FYI, my daughter sent in her app. on Oct. 31st and all her transcripts were sent in November 1st. She got an email yesterday from Tulane stating that they were waiting for more info. Her status still shows as incomplete.
