When will I hear back from Tulane ?

I sent in my application September 7th and haven't heard back yet.
Does their acceptance letter come in a big or small envelope?
And will they post it on the Gibson portal before they mail me a decision?
Will i get an email notification that a decision has been made?

Any information will help!
Tulane is my dream school.
Thanks!

First stop, check your Gibson account. In the past they did not send an email when the decision is posted, although this year some have and some have not received emails to check your Gibson. After the decision is posted on Gibson a letter will be sent with any merit money info. The letter arrives 1-2 weeks after the posting on Gibson. Good luck! You should hear back soon.

Does Gibson show your application is complete? Are you sure you checked the box for EA or SCEA? If so, then all you can do is be patient. It can’t be more than another 14 days.

Only one person has claimed to have gotten an email about their decision. I suspect that person was either mistaken or their admissions person just happened to send them an email at that time. From everything else that has been mentioned on here, Tulane does not alert you by email of any status change. You just have to keep checking Gibson, or wait for the envelope to show up.

I applied SCEA
And I am 100% positive everything was turned in by September 7th.

Thanks guys!

Hi! I submitted my application SCEA on October 16th and all my materials were in and complete the following week, I still had not heard anything this week so I called and asked to talk with my admissions counselor yesterday. He pulled up my application and told me it had not been reviewed yet and not to worry about the wait. He also said he made a note on my account that I was very interested in Tulane and inquiring. I logged into Gibson today and my status changed to accepted! So I would highly recommend calling, they do not get frustrated, just tell them you wanted to check and be sure they have all your materials. Good luck.

I have said the same only about 100 times, but nothing is as powerful as having someone come on and confirm it by experience. Thanks for that, and congratulations on your acceptance!

@ttlr97 around what time did you call and did you ask them just to check if they had everything or about your actual status? Thanks and congrats!!!

@engineering2015‌ I called around 3:30 or 4 yesterday. I got the general voicemail for the undergrad office the first time because I called and asked to check on the status of my application and the lady forwarded me to them. The second time I called and asked to speak with my actual admissions officer (I gave his name to the lady who answers when you call the undergrad admissions phone number. I told him that I wanted to check the status of my application and make sure they had all of my supporting materials. Thank you :)

By status do you mean you asked them if you were accepted or not or do you mean just check if all materials were received?

@ttlr97‌ thank you so much!!!
I will call tomorrow!
May I ask what region you are from?

@val9709‌ I’m from Florida!
