Spring is rolling around and I really need all the help I can get. Please give me:
-tips for studying because i hate to study i get so bored easily
-test taking methods, and tips such as pacing..etc
-preparing for the test day...things that help you perform better

I just pay attention during class and then take 10 practice tests 2 weeks before an SAT.

But all my friends tell me to:

-Study in a quiet place, preferably in your room, but not on the bed!
-Music is acceptable as long as your attention isn't diverted
-Take a break once in a while!
-PRACTICE EXAMS!
-For all my SAT II's, I rushed through them and then double checked them: it works for me
-Make sure that you don't mess up on easy questions or fill in the wrong bubble. It sounds obvious but you HAVE TO BE CAREFUL! CARELESS MISTAKES KILL ME EVERYTIME!!!
-By the time you're done with a section, you should have ~5-10 minutes to check.
-My friend says to drink orange powerade before the SAT, but all it made me do is go to the bathroom
-Bring a candy bar to eat during the break
-Do not study the day before the exam
-Sleep is EXTREMELY imporant!

That's about all I can think of off the top of my head =)

It's really all about taking practice exams, practice exams, practice exams! The SAT is an EXTREMELY coachable test. My score rose (on the old one) from a 1470 to a 1600 within the space of two years because I spent the summer between middle and high school doing a TON of practice exams. Lots of the stuff Edwardz mentions (like making careless mistakes) are obviated by taking gazillions of practice exams.
