girls: what do you think of guys wearing v necks

I haaaaaaaaate V necks

dont ever wear them

They are kinda gay, I prefer that guy’s don’t wear them. I have seen them look good before though

[W-necks > V-necks](Hanes Unveils W-Neck T-Shirt)
Yes, I know this is The Onion, just in case anyone brings that up

They’re all tacky and trashy.

I think v necks look funny. If you really want people to see your tie they are good, but i like regular sweaters. If I was wearing a tie I would want a regular sweater to hide it. And if you are wearing a sweater to keep warm a v neck isnt good. There are some class clowns that wear v necks mostly to look funny.
Girls might think they look cute, but you arent the one who has to wear it all day.

And im a guy.

Now im kind of curious to know why you want to know. Are you looking for a present for your boyfriend?

i love ittt

hm, i always thought they looked feminine

OMG I love it when guys wear white v-necks! but they have to be skinny, toned (as in have muscles but not buff. like no fat…please), and NOT TOO LOW. that just looks plain gay. but the ones that hit the collarbone just look really good :)

I’m a girl, and I have to agree with RAlec114. I’m not sure why guys these days are into looking so…feminine. Skinny jeans, v-necks, aviators - on a guy, no thank you.

v necks are win.

What do you girls think about guys wearing Toms?

Omg, I love TOMS! I have like 6 pair. Cute& comfortable!
On guys they look cute too.
Alot of the boys at my school wear polos, chinos and Toms.
You have to wear em’ right :)

Ah lol.

Just got my first pair of Toms. . .I like the style.

Some guys look gay in Toms, others don’t. It depends. I like the sneaker type ones on a guy though.

I love guys in V-necks! They’re so cute!!

I’m gonna reiterate what I said on a previous thread. If all guys dressed like this, our world will be 10x better.

Guys: PREPPY IS ALWAYS THE BEST. Some people say you look like a dbag, but honestly, you don’t. The misconception is that preppy guys are the ones who wear extra-tight ANF shirts with spiked hair and baggy cargo shorts. WRONGGGG. Preppy guys are those who keep things clean:

Summer:
A crisp polo (by brands such as Ralph Lauren, Brooks Brothers, Vineyard Vines, and Lacoste) without an undershirt or an OCBD with your shirt tucked in
Chino shorts that fall 1-2 inches ABOVE the knee and have NO cargo pockets in a variety of colors
Sperries are a MUST (stick to the A/Os or Mako-2 Eyes)

Winter:
An OCBD (Oxford Cloth Button Down) by said brands that is tapered (the brands above all offer slim fit options on their button downs, so there is no excuse to go to ANF/HcO/AE)
Straight Leg, raw denim jeans with absolutely NO frays anywhere (including pocket lining) or slim-fit (NO pleats) chino pants (NO cargo pockets/frays anywhere)
High-top Sperries (obviously with the pant leg falling over the ankle part of the shoe, don’t pull a gangsta move and tuck your pant leg into your shoe tongue) or Clarks Desert Boots
If you want, throw a good-quality sweater over your OCBD. Polos should stay in the closet.

As far as accessories go, keep it at a minimum.
Belts: stick to the needlepoint belts (traditional brown leather buckle but a cloth body).
Ties: always go for the Repp tie
Shoes: ALWAYS, if you’re tucking your shirt in, match your belt color to your shoe color. Pet peeve.
NEVER get your ear pierced, a tattoo, or anything that you’d find on Jersey Shore.

I’m making this a separate line because it’s SO important: NEVER EVER EVER wear socks of any kind with Sperries if wearing shorts. I want to beat the **** out of guys that do that, it disrespects the classiness of the boat shoes and turns them into Nike trainers.

In essence, you want to keep your look clean and professional. It’s been found in studies that women are more attracted to clean-cut, preppy men than those who wear Ed Hardy tees.

*****The only time I find it applicable to wear a v-neck, if you’re a guy, is under a polo or button-down to catch the sweat.

I think it depends on how low the V-neck goes, but for the most part, it’s a definite no. If it only goes down a little bit (1-2 inches max), that’s fine, and you’re better off wearing a t-shirt underneath too. But if it goes down a lot, like a girl’s shirt, that’s weird.
