Does anyone in this forum fall under Harvard's financial initiative for middle income students?

I'm under 40,000 if thats what you mean.

Harvard expects a student self-help contribution from absolutely everyone, doesn't it?

Question: When they say incomes under 180,000, if your parents are divorced, does that include the non-custodial parent's income???

probably. Although I am not 100% sure. Alot of colleges ask you to fill out non-custodial forms for that reason.

Ahh! the financial aid applications.... I dislike them very much! =)

But yes, they include your noncustodial parent because Harvard believes both parents should contriibute to your education.... according to their finaid website.

But I think it's ironic how I had to file for finaid, yet pay $90 to do so.... lol.

By the way: If you don't have any contact to one of your parents, you don't need to send in a non-custodial parent statement.
