goBuckeye! Day

@cmmcginn: CONGRATS! YAYAY! That’s awesome! I think you should be hearing soon! Check your email for a goBuckeye thing, and if you don’t get one, then I would call them soon! Cause I think they were sending out the registration letters the week of March 7th!

@UVACavs44: I’m from Northern Virginia! In Loudoun County! You? And I think the campus tour is something you could do on your own time, which is what I did, since I have a cousin attending OSU already. But it’s really up to you! :)

@mimi - I’m from Henrico County in Central Virginia. Well considering that I haven’t been to Ohio State before and probably wouldn’t go again until after May 1 if I decided to go there, I may have to do it. I was thinking though that I feel like just walking around is kinda like a campus tour plus it’s only 45 minutes, not the whole hour to hour and a half.

did everyone get a $600 travel grant? if you’re out of state to help pay for your trip?

@CollegeStress - what are you talking about? where does it say we get a travel grant?

You contact the travel coordinator an tell them whether or not you want to use the travel grant.

@Ayana&CollegeStress people don’t seem to know what you are talking about with the travel grant, can you please explain?

@UVACavs44

I’m OOS and they offered me a $600 travel grant if I go to goBuckeye! day… so i’m going

@alej: where are you from? I am from Virginia and received no travel grant

I didn’t receive a travel grant either! What?!?!

Oh and @UVACavs44 - Haha, yeah, that’d probably be a good idea then!

Well I decided on doing Residence Hall Tour, Getting Involved, and Medical Tour (in that order after Lunch)

do they offer 600$ grants!!! i would definitely go if they did… or do you have to financially qualify for this grant!!!

@nyman I am wondering the same thing, if I can get a grant I will go for sure if not I might be able to, but there is a chance I can’t. NY to Ohio is quite a bit in gas if I drive.

Sorry guys, I still haven’t gotten anything from OSU. Is there a special place to sign up for tours or a list of whats going on when? All I know is there is an informational session for food, agriculture and environmental sciences at 1030-1130…

i called today and got one of their last travel grants cause someone cancelled last minute yay  so i’m def going now! i’m doing the bio science overview, medical center tour, lunch, getting involved, and columbus bus tour!

wowoow im so jealous lol. I called yesterday and was told there were more :(… i will try again tomorow now… does every1 get 600?

I accepted mine, but I’m not going anymore
so… there’s one more LOL

Arriving at the airport now, I’ll see you all tomorrow :)

Yay buckeyes!

What did everyone think?

I enjoyed it, but I was not blown away. I think it was the weather haha that dampered it.
Loved the beginning when the band played and Archie Griffin and Diebler and the other bball player spoke. Meeting with my college was good as well. Getting all of the free stuff was cool as well.

LOVED LOVED LOVED going on the field and in Ohio Stadium.

But I was already excited about OSU…and honestly most of it was what I expected.

Only downside for me is that it is in-state…kinda want to get out haha.

what did everyone else think? seemed like everyone loved it
