There’s one thing I just don’t get- why do students go to countries like Indonesia and Peru to help kids out over there? Is that supposed to make a resume look more “interesting”? To be honest- will colleges be more impressed by foreign excursions than local projects and service? I just don’t get it. And aren’t these excursions to foreign countries expensive? Isn’t is so much better to help out in your own community, where you can actually see the fruits of your labor everyday?
Aaaaand here’s another thing completely unrelated-
I’m intending a major in Eco, and a minor in comp. But all of my achievements are international essay or poetry writing stuff-nothing related to my intended fields of study. Any advice?
