Going back to school (Already have a BS/JD)

I have a BS in Finance and a JD. I was interested in going back to school to get an engineering degree. How would I go about doing this? Would I have to take the SAT again? I have seen that you can do a post-bac but how would that differ from just enrolling as a normal student? Thank you.

Contact the colleges/universities that you are interested in attending, and ask them about admissions for a second Bachelor’s degree. Some places do not admit second Bachelor’s students at all. Others are perfectly happy to do so, and would require you to apply as a transfer. Whether or not you need an ACT/SAT general exam or SAT subject exams is entirely up to the individual institution as well.

A post-bac is not a degree-granting program. If you really want the credential, you will likely need to enroll as a transfer student. If you have not had 3 semesters of Calculus and Differential Equations and at least 2 semesters of calculus-based physics, you might be better off starting with those at a Community College and then once you have these done, transfer into an engineering program.

The best thing to do though is to speak to a faculty advisor in the university and department you are interested in. That individual can give you the best alternatives.
