I am looking to apply to a university in Europe, particularly in a German speaking country/place so I can improve my language skills more. For me I find that learning languages in a classroom setting twice a week is not enough, and I don't feel like I am improving significantly. I do not want to do study abroad, I actually want to finish my degree in Europe. However I am very new to the European way of applications and applying, and I do not know anyone who goes to a European university who can help me. I was wondering does anyone have experience or knows about this process? I was thinking about University of Vienna, University of Munich, etc. but the application system looks a lot more complicated than that of the U.S., where the Common App systems makes it easier. Also although I am learning German, I am not proficient enough to take classes where German is the language of instruction. I know that certain universities offer preparatory programs for international students who aren't fluent yet, but I've e-mailed several universities but they are very vague about it. I've also heard of American universities in Europe which might also be a good option, except I heard that a lot of them aren't really known for good academics. I would really appreciate if someone who might know anything about this fill me in. Thank you
