I’d like to read a book just like the one in the movie Orange County. Anybody know of any?

Oh yes, the best possible author recommendation for summer reading: Jorge Luis Borges. Strictly short stories, so you can read one or two without losing too much time. Every single one will blow your mind. Just fantastic.

thousand splendid suns

I agree with the post above. A Thousand Splendid Suns (as well as the The Kite Runner, by the same author) are AMAZING books.

My Sister’s Keeper is very good; it is MUCH better than the movie

The Time Traveler’s Wife is a very good romance

I am in search of books that are like Michael Crichton’s, could someone recommend a few good authors? Thanks

End the fed. Being and nothingness.

Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult

If you have time, try doing the whole wheel of time series in the summer.
I’m not too fond of the books, personally, so I’m reading a song of ice and fire right now.

How Doctors Think, if you’re a pre-med.

Orlando A Biography by Virginia Woolf!

I am going to weep for Orlando’s fate!! I’ve read it for four consecutive times, every time I learn something new.

The book is simply a masterpiece, unprecedented!

After reading Orlando I tried to read Dreiser’s An American Tradgedy, but I wanted to puke-Dreiser is such a blockhead compared with Virginia Woolf, even their topics are different, I can still claim very confidently that Dreiser is not as talented as Virginia Woolf.
