I want to understand which ivy league would be the best fit if i am interested in doing engineering along with economics/public policy or international affairs. Would also love to know other top colleges apart from ivy leagues which can offer me this opportunity.
The better question would be: what field do want a career in, engineering or ??
CMU has Engineering and Public Policy. http://www.cmu.edu/epp/
You could do some kind of Econ/public policy secondary concentration at Harvey Mudd. Easy to take most of the classes at another of the 5C colleges.
Don’t go to an Ivy other than Cornell for Engineering, unless it’s a matter of financial aid.
As @sevmom said, CMU has an EPP double major available.
I believe Case Western lets you get a PP minor as well.
And if you’re in Maryland, UMD College Park has some unique opportunities because of its location.
How important is the engineering part to you? CO School of Mines has an intense, well regarded engineering program. They also have an interesting Honor program for public policy. (Dislaimer - you have to apply, after start of freshman year - no guarantee before that) - http://mcbride.mines.edu/MCB-about-us
Georgia Tech has an excellent engineering school, and programs in international affairs through the Sam Nunn School of International affairs. GT also has an excellent business school. I know they have programs which combine all yoru interests, I just can’t find the link right now. One popular program you should look into is the denning technology program which may be what you are looking for. Here is the link for that program. . https://www.scheller.gatech.edu/centers-initiatives/technology-management-program/index.html
