I am a sophomore soon to be junior at the university of Kentucky and am interested in the prospects of law school. What are some courses that you would recommend to an undergrad to see if they really would enjoy law school and eventually working in the legal field? I am a Finance & Economics double major right now and plan on taking Business Law next semester.

Any other advice would be great, thanks.

If there are any classes taught by a professor at the law school, those might help. Otherwise I don’t think there’s many undergrad classes that would be very close.

I still have time to decide between pursuing business or law but I just want to make sure that I make the right choice.

I have already taken several logic, history, economics and political science classes. I know that those just really skim the surface so it really doesn’t help much.

I also understand how competitive the field is for new law school grads and that has been a slight turnoff. Right now I am just focusing on keeping my GPA as high as possible so I don’t close any doors in the future

Even if the class gives you a sense of what law school classes are like (and undergrad courses rarely do), it’s not going to tell you anything about whether you’d enjoy actually practicing law.
