Good schools (incl LAC's) for foreign language study?

Be aware that some schools have relationships with nearby institutions and allow cross registration.

Two prime examples are:

Bryn Mawr and Haverford. Students are allowed to cross register for any or all classes. Therefore Japanese is taught at Haverfod, a Bryn Mawr student can take all Japanese language classes at Haverford with full credit at BM.

Scripps and Claremont Colleges: exactly the same situation - ie Pomona has Japanese Language - Scripps does not, but a Scripps student can take classes at Pomona as easily as classes at Scripps.

Smith, MHC, Amherst, UMass @ Amherst have the same agreement, but the distance/time to travel is a problem.

I am certain there are other examples, so when researching suggest looking for cross registration privileges.
