Hello! I just finished Abeka Spanish 1 and 2 courses via their video program. They only go to Spanish 3; therefore, I am in need of a Spanish 3 Textbook.
Do you all know of any good ones? I am currently looking at Ven Conmigo by Holt as a Spanish 3 book, but am curious of your thoughts.

P.S. I need something that can be self-taught easily.

I like the Holt World Languages Programs. We have used both Spanish and French through the Indiana High School program. Indiana offers Spanish 3 for credit using the Holt, and you can "rent" or "borrow" copies of the tapes that go with the course. If you are on your own, it's pretty hard to get the CD's to listen to for the listening exercises in the books. That said, you can also get interactive CD's or website access for their textbooks. I have not found a lot of difference in the different editions, check ebay, etc, and you will find Spanish 3 easy to find. They also have the P and A workbooks, plus grammar books. My daughter transfered to Public School, and then realized that the Holt program was actually quite good after having to use a diferent one. You'll either have to get a teachers book, or get someone to correct it for you. (I have found the Holt fairly easy to assemble) They only go up to year three, however.

DO NOT get the Holt book if you are wanting to self teach yourself using the textbook. All it has is vocab and exercises; I found it highly unhelpful when it comes to grammar and actually learning the language.
