I’m a senior in high school, and I am interested in majoring in biomedical engineering. I currently have a list of colleges set for me to apply to, but I just wanted to know which universities have good biomedical engineering undergrad programs for me to pursue. I’m really interested in the cellular and molecular part of the field and creating prosthetics, organs, and such.
Please let me know. I would appreciate if you told me the criteria you went by in choosing the school you mention. I want to know what exactly would make an undergrad biomed engineering program great to attend.
In our research Georgia tech, John Hopkins, Duke, and Rice University are top notch programs. Not sure what area of the country you are looking at and what kind of cost restraints you may have.
@AsianTaco Stanford, JHU, Duke, Penn, Rice, MIT, Umich, Berkeley are the schools that have a tippy top BE program and are also strong undergraduate institutions overall.
Also given your interest i prospethics, organs etc it is good for the school to have a top medical school right on/ close to campus which you will have easy access to for research opportunities.
