Hi all. I was just wondering what schools could best prepare me to pursue a master’s in statistics.
A few other parameters:
-also good for pre-med just in case I switch to that
-no glaring weakness in economics and CS
http://statistics.berkeley.edu/programs/graduate/masters describes an MA program in statistics.
Its recommended undergraduate course work approximates that of a statistics BA/BS major, plus junior level math courses like theoretical linear algebra and real analysis and some computing experience.
So look for a college with a statistics major, or a math major in a math department with substantial statistics offerings (some colleges include statistics in their math departments).
