@purell2019 Congratulations!!! In Silicon Valley? What department?
I plan to apply next year when I’m eligible. I graduate in 2019. Is it difficult to get an internship in the Marketing department?
@doglover1964 I was told in the email I would be either in Ann Arbor or Mountain View!
Can anyone comment on the timeline? For example, applied late October, notified for interview January, Sales area, received offer in February. The Google site doesn’t have a lot of information on the timeline.
Did anyone else get an email yesterday about your application still being reviewed?
I also got an email! What position did you apply for? Do you think it was a blanket email, or do you think we are actually still being considered?
@itme1234 I applied for Google Technical Services. I think we are still being considered but it’s hard to say exactly to what extent. What about you?
I applied for a position in the communications department.
I received my email on march 16th though. Which means they weren’t sent out at the same time which is a good sign.
Well, i’ll let you know if I hear anything else!
itme1234 I received mine on march 16th as well.
@123123555 what position did you apply for?
I applied in finance; did anyone hear back for finance?
Xros678 I applied for Finance, stuff like that. On the 16th I got another email telling me that I am still being considered and they are currently trying to match my skills up with a position and would hear back about interviews on a rolling basis now until end of april.
I applied for People Operations and got the same email on March 20th. To be completely honest, I kinda gave up on the idea of getting an interview because I hadn’t heard back in months. Also, I applied for another Google internship last year for their Tokyo office and got a rejection letter about 5 months later. For that position, they didn’t send me an email saying they would consider my application, so I’m hoping this is a good sign.
I’ve been eyeing the posts in here hoping that it’s not just a PG version of a rejection letter.
Fingers crossed!
I got an email on March 20th as well. I ranked People Ops first, then Marketing/Communications. Good luck to anyone else still waiting!
I didn’t get the email… is that a good sign?
I received an email on April 30th saying that I was still being reviewed and would be contacted on whether or not I moved on to the interview stage. I’m wondering if anybody else has gotten the same news this late in the process. I know the internship starts in late may/june so I’m freaking out a little, but still hopelessly optimistic.
@heyitsfinalsweek68 what ended up happening for you? A lot of us in the 2018 thread are still anxiously waiting to hear back.
Do you know what application deadline is for the 2019 opportunities?
