Got a 31 three times!! Take it again?

I recently got a 31 for the third time out of five tests. My superscore, as of right now, is 32. However, I am now only one subject test point away from a 33 superscore. I was planning on being done testing after this one but since I am applying to schools like Villanova and Boston College who take superscores, I’m questioning if I should study one or two subjects hard and try to get an extra point on the September test.
Any and all opinions and tips are appreciated. Thank you!

Also, here are my highest subject scores:
English: 35
Math: 32
Reading: 30
Science: 32

Do you need merit based scholarships? What will one more point gain you in $$$ at BC or Villanova?
Are you worried about getting in at all or how much merit you can win?

Try the SAT to see if you do better on it since you seem to be stuck at 31 on the ACT

So are you saying you took the ACT 5 times already? If so, you would probably be best served using the time to work on your essays and applications rather than taking the test for the 6th time.

I think you’ve plateaued.

5 tests ? Enough is enough. I think you’re making a mistake focusing on composite and missing the chance to take a hard look at whether your ECs reflect your interest in a business major, whether you show experience and the various traits they will look for.

BUt sure, you could take the SAT. Just get away from the ‘rinse and repeat’ thinking. It takes more than an extra ACT point or some title in hs to get you in.

You have two choices:

Accept that you seem to be a “31” student and find colleges where you will fit in

Study in some completely different way and take it again

5 times? I’d say that’s your ceiling. Maybe try the SAT if you have the time, money, and inclination. But honestly, I’d look for schools in your GPA and test score range as it is right now. There are great options.

Are you a rising senior? If so, you’re done. If not, I’d wait to try again until next spring.
