Last year I took 2 AP's
Calculus BC got a 4
and
Mechanics got a 5

This year I am planning to take -
Electricity and Magnetism
Statisitics
Micro-economics

Should I retake Calculus BC???????
and
Suggest me some AP's-
I am gonna major in Mechanical Engineering and Economics(dual degree or minor in Economics)

Most colleges will give you credits for that 4.
Don’t worry about it.

But seeing as I know more than the average person reading your post, mech, isn’t your whole drive behind applying to the States to be able to experience the flexible ‘US’ education? If yes, why would you ever want to take credits to graduate early? Maybe, you want to take credits so that you can still continue with your intended major and still be able to take some maverick classes :p

If i dont take AP tests, will it affect my applications in anyway? cuz i have no time at all to study and take, unless i move my sat reasoning test 2nd try to june and take it in may…

Anvesh, you don’t have time to either study or take the test, so why bother yourself with unnecessary pursuits. You should rather focus on consolidating what you already have in your grasp. Two rushed attempts at the AP and SAT look average. One good attempt at the SAT looks better.

Check the policies of the colleges you’ve applied to, if any of them need a 5, register for the exam.

Then depending on where you enroll you can choose whether to give it or not:)

EDIT: Micro and macro econ are really easy. If you’ve done Economics for ISC/CBSE, I’d say 2 weeks of prep at ~2-3 hours a day is enough. If you haven’t, 5 weeks at the same amount of time is honestly enough.

my frnd took AP classes and got 4 in BC, Phy B and 5 in C.S, and his has got admission to Dartmouth this yr. I think AP makes application strong and also give credits.

APs definitely makes your application strong, even if some colleges like Caltech don’t give credit in UG studies.
I have taken 6 APs and I think that has made my application strong, whether i get credit for them or not.
If you have applied for 2012 fall, the value of additional APs is only for credit!
