If I got caught giving people puff bars, and it may go on my record, is my sport dreams done for? I want to play lacrosse and it was a stupid decision. I learned but I need to know if there are consequences for college.

If you are suspended you will have to report it on your applications, and inform coaches during the athletic recruiting process…as you don’t want them to be surprised when you do submit your app.
If these were nicotine only vapes and not THC, that will probably be less problematic, as the penalties for thc tend to be worse and involve the local police in addition to the school.
Some coaches may choose to move on to other recruits, but that will be out of your control.

Depends on the school’s tolerance for misbehavior, their lust for athletic talent, your level of skill, your level of contrition and a host of other things. Some teams are almost proud of being dirtbags and some schools are defiantly squeaky clean. In some programs a coach will look the other way if the 6’10" forward does something that gets Joe Average kicked to the curb. Think about the school and the coach, and then assume it’ll come out and try to guess how they’ll receive such information. If they’ll care at all it’s probably best they hear it from you now.
