Hello everyone! Glad to have finally found a place to discuss my problems! Now let me tell you my background and my thoughts. I am a 20 old guy from the small but very lively island of Cyprus. After graduating from a private English-based high school with a GPA of 3.1 and a whole bunch of A-Levels and O-Levels (requirements for British Universities) most with A's and B's. After high school at the age of 19 I was taken to a military camp to fulfill my duty to our country, my two year compulsory army service. As a private that is. Shouting, humiliation as well as not seeing home for extended periods of time is my life until the coming summer. Standing guard and wathcing the pine trees is my occupation. As a result i HATE army officers and the army system as a whole. Stick to this final sentence as you will read below.

Now I always wanted to work with aeroplanes. I love them. I really want to be a member of those persons who actually push the frontiers of human knowledge even further. After much thinking and discussing I have concluded that the home of the free and the land of the brave is the place for me to study. Even more, I found a university which at first glance seemed great! Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. In florida! Wow! Daytona beach! Full of blonde, smiling chicks and at the same time studying the thing I am most fond of! So I enrolled for SAT's and TOEFL for which my teachers think I am pretty good at.

Going back to earth now. Is ERAU the place for me? Reviews on the net showed me a place with NO NIGHTLIFE, NO GIRLS and no "american pie" sort of life. Well yeah, movies show us how America is. Furthermore, the worst comments are given even for the university's educational quality. They present the place like its full of cocky brats loaded with cash and a sort of military system in there full of officers and officer cadets which i really really hate. No more army! I wanna be free! SUmming it up: is ERAU FL the place for me? I am a person who: 1)Wants a good education on Aerospace Engineering 2)Loves going out, clubbing, little get-togethers and, im not gonna be shy, american pie sort of life, and loves visiting museums, travelling et cetera. Thanks. And sorry for the lenght of my post.

P.S: any sort of constructive or destructive criticisim is welcome!
