I got a letter saying I didn’t make it through the EA round, but was recommended that my application be viewed again for RD. There’s still hope!

Congratulations to all those who made it!

That’s what I thought, but wasn’t 100% sure.
Thanks a bunch and congrats to everyone who got accepted! :D

My daughter received her acceptance envelope in the mail today. Yay!!! Applied ea took a long time.

@nopatientsmom was your D orginially deferred?

No my d just never heard from them until today

Politicalnerd12-its a big green envelope and on the envelope it says Binghamton University state university of new york, Youre the 1 we want.

when will OOS transfer students know about admissions? any thoughts?

when do they notify for regular? I haven’t heard anything yet…

I know I’m getting nervous too :

I called the school last week regarding regular decisions letters and was told that these go out en masse in April??? Don’t know if DS can survive until then.

Just some information for those still waiting. Binghampton was the only College my daughter was rejected from (it was OK because it was not her top choice), it was the last college she heard from and her rejection letter came via email last year on March 14th. She never did receive an official letter in the mail. The waiting is super hard, good luck to all of you where ever you end up.

According to the letter there is a less than 7% acceptance rate this year. Seems a bit low to me. Or am I missing something?

No official letter or email yet. Today was the first day that allowed a deposit to be made for FAll 2012 - Watson. Until today, it said “authorization for a deposit could not be made at this time”. We are assuming that my son was accepted, but as someone else said, we want to see it in black and white. He applied rolling decision. He really was expecting a rejection because he was told by a counselor that he most likely didn’t meet the requirements for Engineering. Hopefully, they were mistaken.

number4x1- 7% of the applicants actually attend Binghamton. So say there is a 25% yield of accepted students, then in reality 28% were accepted (totally hypothetical numbers).

If Bing’s decisions are rolling, wouldn’t it take like a month to hear back? I was deferred EA and got deferred over a month ago, and I still have heard nothing.

They still have another wave of letters to send out (by April 1). That’s where my letter is too, I’m getting very nervous. Everyday I don’t see a big green letter in the mail, I dread looking through the rest of the mail. But I figure they will probably arrive in late march, rather than sooner unfortunately.

If Bing would give me a decision I can finally stop doing all these forms for other schools… :

What is taking so long? How come some RDs have gotten a decision already? Anyone get accepted to SOM yet?

My son got his acceptance letter in the mail today-Watson School of Engineering.

I heard that RD come up March 12th…which is this week…tomorrow…Kind of nervous. I applied to the engineering program and it’s always more competitive to get accepted into that. Okay, good luck!

I hope you’re right! I’m ready to find out for sure!!! As long a it’s good news of course!!!
