Hey guys...this could be the worst day of my life...I got rejected from all 10 universities that I applied to and now I don't know what to do. I'm an international student, so going to a community college in the states is not an option for me, and I can't afford to take a gap year. So it came to my attention that my only option is to look for colleges that are still accepting applications and apply to some of them. I never thought it would come down to this and I am devastated...So the question is, where can I find the list of colleges that are still accepting late applications? I heard there's a site that puts up a list of schools that are still open. Please provide me with information and advice...

My suggest would be take gap year and do something meaningful. Cuz those colleges that are still enrolling now would not be so good as those in your own country. Little tip: next time put some safety schools on your list :)

Nacac.com is a site where you can find an annual list of over 300 colleges that are continuing to accept applications. To get the list I believe you have to sign in and become a site member (no cost) and the list it has now is likely from 2012 since they update it annually in early May, but colleges on the list are usually the same from year to year except for new ones that might be added and thus last year’s list will help.

Would you mind listing your stats?

the Common App website has a search tool that lets you find all Common App schools still accepting applications. Do a google search on “rolling admissions”.
NACAC will publish this year’s list of open applications on May 3rd here

If you don’t mind, what colleges did you apply to?

SherlockHolmes: Not sure how to attach a link here, but Petersons.com has a list of late deadline schools. Just google “colleges accepting late applications” and you should be able to find it. Rolling admissions schools are another possibility if they haven’t filled up. Even colleges that are past their official deadline may have space. Make some calls now.

I read your other post where you listed some of your stats and colleges you applied to. It sounds like you may have overreached and didn’t have a true safety or two. My advice at this point would be to search out some true safeties and focus on those. You will find something! None of these may be your dream school, but you can always hope to transfer later. Good luck.
