Hey, Guys! I was wondering what Universities I can get accepted with a 3.26 Unweighted GPA and 4.5 weighted GPA. I still haven’t taken the SAT or ACT. Clubs I’m in: Interact Club, Astronomy Club, Quiz Bowl, Science Olympiad, Art club, beta club, and Spirit Club. I volunteer at the hospital and I am planning on starting a fundraiser for victims of terrorist attacks and a fundraiser for refugees. I’m taking all honors courses (math, science, history, and English) since freshman year and I’ve taken 4 AP (Biology, United States History, Psychology, and Human Geography) classes and I am planning to take three more. I’ve taken two years of foreign language. I want to join a sport.
There is no way to give you any recommendations without an ACT/SAT score. You could try the Supermatch feature on this website but it does ask for your test scores. How much can you and your parents afford? If in need of FA/Merit, then this will be a good starting point to narrow schools down. Again test scores are vital.
Are you a Sophomore? Junior?
The best source of info is your HS guid counselor who can tell you historical successes of students w/similar stats & achievements. BTW: scale back your ECs and work more on your GPA (ie. homework, studying for quizzes, etc.). Don’t start that sport.
A few extra As will mean 5000x more than practically every single one of your ECs. Colleges want scholars first and foremost – not volunteer coordinators

You should study for and plan or taking the ACT or SAT in January and then once more in March or April. Additionally you should get some ideas of the sorts of places you want to apply and see if they will want the SAT subject tests and take those in May or June. There are plenty of colleges for B students, but without scores and some idea of how rigorous your course load is in the context of your school we can’t suggest any particular colleges.
Once you get standardized test scores try the CC SuperMatch function on the left under Find A College. Until you get test scores, it is too early.

You can’t be chanced without test scores. Come back when you have them.
OK I have a 5.1 weighted GPA not a 4.5
Also…ask your parents how much they’ll spend on college.
Your unweighted GPA is only 3.26, yet your weighted GPA is 5.1? How much weight does your honors class and AP courses carry at your high school? You have completed only 1 AP course so far, so your GPA spread between unweighted and weighted seems large to me.
4 AP and Honors gives you an extra point for example a 4.0 turns to a 5.0 and for AP a 4.0 turns to a 6.0
That’s why colleges don’t generally use weighted GPAs. They vary significantly from HS to HS.
So all of your As are in your AP classes and your sub B grades are in regular classes? It should be an interesting discussion for the admissions board.
Where do you live now? Do you want to go to college nearby (how many hours away?)
What is your ACT/SAT score?
What do you want to study/major in?
Are you taking a 4th year of math?
Also - why only two years of a foreign language? (You know you’ll have to take one again in college unless you test out… )
See if you can take Spanish IV (H) and AP English Language next year, Calculus or Precalculus for Math, AP European or World History.
Drop a couple clubs to increase time devoted to class, an A is worth more than being a member in a club, and a high test score is very valuable to a B/B+ student with good curriculum rigor.
What’s your parents’ budget?
Possibilities around the country:
Gustavus Adolphus, DePaul, Loyola MD, Muhlenberg, Susquehanna, Illinois Wesleyan, Beloit, Concordia-Moorhead, Drake, St Michael’s, Wheaton MA, Goucher, Eckerd, Drew, Marist, Siena…
I live in Conover, NC and I want to go to UNC Chapel Hill. I haven’t taken the ACT/SAT yet. I want to major in Law or Psychiatry. I am taking a 4th Math Honors Pre-Cal @BeeDAre
You can’t major in Law or Psychiatry. Law is a postgraduate degree. Psychiatry is a medical specialization.
If you want to go into Psychiatry, ie., a medical specialty, you need to target a less competitive college, major in neuroscience or psychology or both, and complete the premed core.
For Law, many majors are suitable, although applicants find Philosophy, History, English, Economics, Political science to be good subjects.
You can choose between med school and law school if you major in any of the above and and complete the premed core.
