In my country we have decimal scale for our marks from 1 to 10, but often 10 is not considered, so it is impossibole to have a 4.00 gpa. What is the lowest gpa that MIT accept? I know that there are other things that are important like Sat result, but is there an average of gpa to be admitted? I suppose It is around 4.7 but i am not sure.

There is no “minimum GPA.” Admissions are done on a holistic basis, meaning there aren’t individual requirements for GPA, SAT, etc.

I’m sure MIT has dealt with applicants from your country before. Make sure your counselor explains your school’s grading system on the secondary school report so that MIT can put it in context.

ok thanks
In a decimal scale

A+ is equal to 10 and
A == 9
B== 8

right? or i have to do this operation average:10 for 4?

The 4.0 scale is used by a majority of high schools in the US, but some use other systems. Report your grades as they would be at your school.

Another little question about MIt gpa so i have not to post another thread. will I show the gpa of the “scolastic year” before to apply? i suppose that there isn’t time to show the gpa of the current “scolastic year” on october we don’t have many marks…

That’s correct. MIT will ask for a midyear report come January. You will list your courses GPA on that form.

The first trimester… :o so i have time to make stronger my gpa than now
