GPA matters? Helpppppp!!

Hi everyone,

I am a raising junior major in psychology with PR and chemistry minors.
I am having a overall gpa 3.0. However, my major gpa in psychology is like 3.5. The overall gpa is low because I was majoring in chemistry and got C+s in gen chem and orgo, then I decided not to do chem anymore and switch to psychology.

I am planing to go to grad school for PR or social psyc. So in this case, will the low grades in chemistry effect my graduate school admission? I haven't took gre yet.

A little bit, but your grades in your major and related classes will be much more important. A major GPA of 3.5 can and will offset a cumulative GPA of 3.0 because of pre-med classes, especially if the rest of your application is great.
