GPA on resume

I just graduated with an engineering degree from a pretty well known school. I did bad with my grades in the first two years but managed to finish strong.
I have an overall GPA of 3.03, a last two years GPA of 3.4, and a senior GPA of 3.68. I also receive some sort of honors thing during my last quarter.
Does anyone have any good advice on which GPA should I put in the resume? Should I put both overall and last two years or overall and senior? Also, is it a smart thing to include the honors in the resume since I only received it in the last quarter?

Thanks a lot in advance.

I’ve been advised against it. A general rule I’ve heard is that you should only put your GPA on your resume if it’s a 4.0.

At my uni they told us to list the GPA only if it’s above 3.4 or 3.5. With 3.03 overall, I wouldn’t list it. But if your potential employer asks about your GPA, you’ll have a chance to explain your improvement.

Thanks for the responses.
I was told that many employers would not look at a resume without a listed GPA (for new grads) because they will just assume it is below 3.0.
So for my situation, is it really best for me to not list my GPA or can I put both last two years and overall?
BTW I majored in electrical engineering. Thanks.

It might vary somewhat by field. Have you talked to career services at your school? They would probably have the most accurate advice.

You may want to consider listing your “in-major GPA”, which would consist of only your engineering classes.
