I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but what's more important your GPA or SAT scores? And what's better a high GPA with okay SAT scores or high SAT scores with an okay GPA? I'm just curious. I know there's other factors and a high GPA and SAT scores are best but I'm just wondering.

It depends. What’s an okay GPA or SAT to you?

Usually, high SAT scores can make up for a lackluster GPA but a high GPA can not make up for lackluster SAT scores.

That said, to get into the most competitive colleges, you need high for both.

The above could not be more untrue except for at formula driven state schools where a jig score can balance a lower GPA.

Rank is king, the most important factor at most schools.

At top schools they want it all.

schools are different. Some schools do what jcold9 said earlier. Some (especially for ED) put more weight on GPA
