GPA question

So I am a transfer student to Berkeley and was wondering when I do apply to law schools, which GPA wouldbe looked at? Someone told me once you transfer your GPA "resets" but I'm assuming they mean it resets for the UC standard -- it's not like my academic career through community college just poofs into thin air, right?

So -- when law schools review my application, how will it be weighed? Would someone who has gone through a 4 year school get priority over me who has gone through 2-year transfer system?

Any information would be helpful, thanks.

You're right about not poofing.

For *official *GPA calculations, no adjustment would be made due to the fact that you did your coursework at a community college.

Notice that I'm not making any statements about what schools would think. I'll leave that for somebody more experienced.

They're going to count your community college and Berkeley grades together. There are a number of threads on this very issue you could try to search for.
