The GPA scale at my highschool goes from 0-7 and to apply for financial aid it asks for my GPA on a 0-4 scale. If my GPA is 5.302, what would it be on the 0-4 scale?
Thanks,
Shelby

Can your school not provide you with a conversion? Surely, they've had students run into this a multitude of times in the past....

The way I usually convert GPA is to multiply the GPA times 4, and then divide it by whatever scale it is on (in this case, 7.0).

I get 5.302 x 4 = 21.208/7.0 = 3.03.

So, 3.03 is what I come up with, but you should definitely check with your school. Many schools that I've seen that use a 7.0 scale will also give an unweighted GPA on the 4.0 scale. The unweighted GPA is usually higher than the one converted from the 7.0 scale.
