GPA, Staying an Extra Year

I was wondering if someone has any advice on this. Is it worth it to stay an extra year to boost my overall gpa? I've been looking around and the importance of a 3.5+ overall gpa really stands out. I think my major gpa would reach that, but even if I were to stay an extra year, the most the overall could rise to is around 3.2-3.3. I'm also not sure about funding the for a fifth year. Would a lower overall gpa and a higher major gpa in a more challenging major like math still allow me to be a candidate?

Also, I just declared and won't finish enough of the classes in my major this recruiting season to be competitive. Without a junior year internship...how devastating would that be?

Thanks in advance for taking the time to reply.

What jobs are you talking about? IB or S & T? Most companies will ask for your transcript. It will show that you are try to boost your gpa.

Junior year internships are essential to getting an offer.
