Gpa

I read that the average GPA of high school students admitted to Brandeis 3.88 on princeton review. Is that true> It seems rediculously high.

That doesn't seem too high to me. Most of the people who got in that I know had close to a 4.0 unweighted. Not to mention that they don't recalculate GPAs so what your school weights your grades is what you get.

They don't recalculate GPAs? Nice. =]

Somne people have told me that they do, but when I asked during my information session at the college, the admissions counselor said that they don't. That could help or hurt you though. Some schools don't weigh at all and each grade is counted differently (like a 95 or above 4.0, 94 is a 3.9, 93 is a 3.8, etc). Some schools give 2 quality points for AP/IB and one for honors.

So in a way, it can be a bad thing for some people.

I was actually really surprised to learn that my GPA is a 4.0, weighted. So I think the fact that they don't recalculate is awesome.
